about

Craig Good started at Pixar as a janitor and security guard in 1982, when it was still a division of Lucasfilm, Ltd. An interest in computers led to some on-the-job training in programming and eventually the job he has today as a layout artist working on the upcoming feature Brave. He tells this story on today's episode.

In this episode, Craig also explains what a layout artist does and how Pixar's rendering software works. Craig was recorded in Pixar's sound studio, where voice actors record dialogue, so the sound quality is superb. Listen to hear him talk about "student" films he and his fellow Pixar employees have been involved in recently, and other great stories from his time at Pixar.
